This part had everything. And I mean , EVERYTHING.First off, the whole shoot out scene was so intense- I was on the edge of my seat 😱😱 BUCKY NOOOOOOO WHY GODDAMMIT MAN. That hurt my heart so much. Then, that gloriously smutty goodness that was brewing since they met was so hot and utter perfection. My insides were melting. It’s a good job I’m not in public. That last line made me nervy, why Steve? What does that meannnn?? This part had everything.
There was a lot crammed into this chapter, I hope it wasn’t too much. As for Steve and Sharon… there’s history there.
You watched for a moment as Steve brought the axe down against the wood, the muscles of his arms straining. It was hard not to admire him, even though you knew he wasn’t in the best of moods with you right now.
“What’s the log ever done to you?” You asked, trying to ease the tension.
Steve half turned to face you, slamming the head of the axe into the top of a log and letting it stay there as he did.
“Unless you’re here to apologise, I’ve got work to do,” he stated, going to walk past but you caught his arm in your hand, your heightened strength allowing you to halt his movements.
“I’m not apologising for saving your life, Rogers,” you spoke calmly, letting go of his arm under his hardened gaze.

Written for Star’s Marvel Mayhem Challenge with the prompt: “And hey, if I keep loving you, maybe you’ll eventually crack and love me too.” @star-spangled-man-with-a-plan[congrats again on the follower milestone, lovely!<33]
The mission was a disaster from start to finish. What was meant to be a simple assess and report run turned into full out combat with some less than friendly hydra fanatics.
It didn’t help when you got caught in the crossfire and ended up taking a bullet to the shoulder. Not only did it slow you down, but it also put Clint and Nat on edge, too.
Once the situation was dealt with, the three of you hightailed it back to the quinjet, you in some serious need of some pain relief and a clean up for your injury.
“Well, that was fun,” you grunted as you sat down, using your able hand to rummage through the first aid kit.
Clint gave you a small smile over his shoulder as he sat at the pilot seat. “You alright, small fry?”
You nodded. “Nothing some bandages and beer can’t fix,” you replied, pulling out the bottle of antiseptic to clean the wound on your shoulder.
“Here, let me,” Natasha came to sit beside you, her leather catsuit covered in dirt and dust from the fight.

“Oh, I totally had that, flyboy. Don’t be such a sore loser,” you laughed as you walked back into the compound with Sam.
You’d just returned from an Intel mission, it was supposed to be assess and report, but some HYDRA goons showed up and things quickly went south. The pair of you were no strangers to dealing with them and were now having a debate on who took out the most.
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever helps you sleep at night,” he said with an eye roll. “I think I’m gonna make some of my famous chicken risotto to celebrate. Wanna give me a hand?”
You nodded. “Sure. I’m just gonna jump in the shower first. Taking down all those bad guys on my own has made me stink,” you teased as he scowled back you.
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell Cap,” you beamed, giving him a pat on the shoulder before heading to your room.
Taking a good half an hour in the shower definitely helped relax your tense muscles and left you feeling refreshed and ready to spend a chilled night in with the team.
As much as you loved your job, there were times the adrenaline wore out and you actually felt fear of the situation you were in. You’d never really spoken to anyone about it before.
