Hi chickie! Hope you’re feeling well, I’m off today too! Raining like crazy in NYC! Good day for eating lots of cookies and drinking tea haha I finished watching Daredevil season 3 this past weekend and I’m completely head over heels in love with Charlie Cox. That’s about all for exciting news on my part! Just wanted to say hi! Hugs🤗😊

Ohhhhh Daredevil. Another show I know I need to be watching. I’m down for ALL of that; cookies, mostly. I’m not a huge tea fan.

Charlie Cox is adorable and worthy of all the heart eyes!

It was snowing here today, and I gotta say, I’m not ready for it. It makes my fibro so much worse than normal. Which was the main reason I stayed home.

Working From Home

How to be positive, when everything isn’t working, when you you’re trying to get a job for almost 4 months and nothing happens, but bills are coming…

You should be proud of yourself. You’re still out there, looking and applying. You’re doing everything you can right now. I know I’m proud of you.

I don’t know what your exact situation is, or what expenses you have, but I do know what it’s like. I’ve been there, for almost my entire childhood, and into some of my adult years.

My mom and I lived in a one bedroom duplex [turned the official ‘living room’ area into a second bedroom], maybe 780 square feet. She was on assistance, and I remember there were weeks on end where every meal was either a peanut butter sandwich, mac n cheese, or ramen noodles.

We couldn’t afford to keep the apartment fully air-conditioned, so we got one of those window units for the living room / kitchen, and hung a thick quilt over the door frame. We had a 70′s, four door, behemoth of a car we called the banana boat; it was ungodly yellow. But it got us where we needed to go.

Despite the help that we got from friends and / or family, my mom and I were often behind on rent, the fridge and cupboards had little to hold, I wore clothes that were too small, that weren’t washed often enough. I didn’t take daily showers or have the newest bike, but I had my mom.

Anyway… I guess this is just my way of telling you that you can do this. I know it doesn’t seem like it’s going to get better, I know that it’s hard, really hard.

Have you looked into assistance programs outside of government?

There’s always your local food shelf, shopping at the Goodwill to cut down on clothing cost, garage sales, contacting your utility departments to get into a payment program, discount program for winter time [if you live in a cold state], etc.

I am sorry that you’re going through this rough time right now. I’m here if you need to talk. Anytime. On or off anon. There will only be kindness and understanding here, no judgement, no harsh words. This is a safe place.

Working From Home

Being my one of my fave writers in the Marvel fandom, I’m thrilled to show u my newest Bucky fic :) but I can’t yet right now bc I’m waiting for someone else to see it first. I’m pretty nervous about it tbh. Too nervous to send this ask as myself 😂 hope you’re having a swell day! 🤗

Ohhhhhh I’m excited to see it! Please make sure you tag me.

And please, don’t be nervous. I don’t bite. Unless you like that sort of thing.

But really… message me however you’re most comfortable; anon or not. This is all about your comfort level.

I admire writers. It’s something I would love to try, but not brave enough. I love to read and feel like I hit the jackpot when I discovered fanfics! Thank you for sharing your gift. My question-how did you get started writing and how did you choose fanfic?

I actually started writing regular works when I was a kid, nothing really special or ground-breaking, but it was a start. Here is where I’m going to show my age. I got into the fanfiction world via *NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys and The Lord of The Rings actors.

And that was it; I was hooked. While I did end up taking a break from it, for various reasons, I got back into it with Harry Potter, then moved to Supernatural. I didn’t stay long, the fandom was too spiteful and angry.

I stumbled into the Marvel fandom, and damn, am I glad I did. They have been nothing but kind and welcoming and supportive. Well, there are a few bad apples, but I know who they are and how to avoid them.

I do have plans for original works, two of them in process. I hope to get them done sometime soon lol.

I think you should give it a try, writing, writing fanfiction.

VOTING yes! That takes precedence over everything else!

I’ve yet to watch Pushing Daisies. I know I need to, I’ve heard so many amazing things about the show, and I do love me some Lee Pace.
