He will fall in love with her and your excitement for angst makes me worry!!! I love this trope! But it also always reminds me of ‘a walk to remember’ (I saw the movie when I was 12 and that was one of the two times I’ve cried in a cinema) and I’m so frickin scared that you’re going to kill me with something like that! 😱The part of my brain that loves all this messy and angsty stuff is celebrating a party while my emotional part is already preparing for this with blankets, tissues and a ton of chocolate!

I’d say I’m sorry, but we all know I’d be lying.

OH NO!!! IT’S A WALK TO REMEMBER!!! I just saw your reply on my dash that said your idea comes from A Walk To Remember and I JUST WANNA SCREAM AT YOU BECAUSE IT REMINDED ME OF THE MOVIE AND NOW I WILL NEED MORE TISSUES!!! That movie (I haven’t read the book yet) left me scared of the cool guy/wallflower trope since I saw it and I can’t help it but still fall for it 😱

You can scream at me all you want. It’s what I live for.

Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh man. This is going to be a sweet, angsty, bumpy ride, isn’t it? I love that you have Phil’s daughter as the protagonist – that’ll ratchet up whatever horrors you have planned (don’t ACT like you don’t have them planned). Then, bad boy who asks the good girl for help? Sigh….I can only remember my own love of this trope in high school (but I didn’t know it was called a trope then). I also loved how she explained how to ask for help, and my own heart twinged a bit when he said he had never asked for help before.  Oh boy, you’ve turned me into an AU Clint Barton fan, my friend.  I’m on board for the ride…can’t wait to read more. 🙂 – Steph

I have so many horrors planned.
