Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I recently reached 2k followers! I still can’t believe that there are so many of you now. I’ve never had this many followers before, even on my old blogs. I appreciate every single one of you sooooo much!
That being said, I’ve been brainstorming for a celebration idea that non-writers could also participate in, and I finally got one! I think it’s pretty great, but I don’t know, we’ll see… I really hope it doesn’t flop!
I call it the AUTHOR APPRECIATION CHALLENGE.
The goal of this challenge is R E A L L Y simple: To send love, appreciation, and encouragement to your favorite fic authors of your favorite stories by creating content inspired by their work.
WE’RE SPREADING POSITIVITY + SHARING FIC RECS + ENCOURAGING WRITERS. That’s three birds with one stone!
Rules:
– You don’t have to be following me to join, but it would be nice if you did.
– You must reblog this post to spread the word.
– You can make a moodboard, playlist, photoset, gifset, artwork, doodle, illustration, poem—basically any form of content inspired by your favorite fic and/or Tumblr author.
– There are no maximum number of entries! Remember, our goal is to spread appreciation, positivity, and to encourage writers. Make as many as you want!
– You may either post your work on your own blog or submit it to me. I will definitely credit you if you choose the latter.
– Too shy to post your work? No problem! I’ll accept anonymous entries. Just submit your work to me and specifythat you want it to be anonymous and I’ll make a separate post for it.
– Strictly no plagiarizing/stealing of other people’s work!!! I don’t think I need to explain why this is so wrong. This is a huge NO in my book, especially since I am also a graphic artist by profession. I will be checking your entries to see if you really made them.
– If you’re making something inspired by a story, make sure to add a link to that story. Use the tag #fic rec
– If you’re making something for an author, make sure to tag that author and add a link to their masterlist! Use the tag #author rec
– While I’d definitely appreciate it if anyone made something for me, I highly encourage you to make something for other authors for this challenge. If you’re going to make multiple entries, please make your first entry for another author first.
– Send me an Ask if you’re going to join this challenge. Pleasespecify if you wanna join anonymously. You may tell me what you’re going to make content for and I’ll consider it a fic rec. You may also not tell me if you want it to be a surprise.
– You must be 18+ to make content for a NSFW fic
– For MCU entries: Please do not submit content for a story containing Peter Parker or Shuri Udaku smut. We shouldn’t be encouraging those.
– You may submit your entries until October 3, 2018.
and lastly…
– Tag your entries with #chrevastanauthorappreciation AND send me an Ask/DM once you’ve posted your entry so I can reblog it/check my inbox for submissions.
If enough of you join, I’ll make a Masterlist and a Fic Rec list for this challenge once it’s over.
